Première fournée de weston
The weston story / 1882
In 1882, George Weston, a young Toronto bread salesman, buys a bread route from his employer. Two years later, he buys a bakery and starts baking and delivering his own bread. "I baked 250 loaves the first day. I delivered them, drove my own wagon, called on every customer myself." He becomes famous for his "Real Home-Made Bread," ancestor to today's Premiere Fournée artisan breads. It's that love of quality ingredients and baker's craft that's at the heart of the Weston story.
